Disc 1 is a collection of three separate EPs released under the original band name "flur," named after a record store in Lisbon, Portugal. Each track revolves around a field recording captured during several trips abroad in 2017. Tracks 1 through 5 contain recordings from Cusco and Arequipa, Peru which include interior train recordings on the way to Machu Picchu, thunderstorms from inside the clouds, street merchants, and lunch-time instrumental courtyard performances. Tracks 6 through 8 contain recordings from Lisbon, Portugal which include two individuals singing and playing violin on the beach, an early evening soft rave, and a young indie trio in front of a kiosk in an echo-filled courtyard. Track 9 contains a recording from air purification systems on a college campus in Athens, Georgia and the interior of The Basílica de la Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Spain. The individual track art contains the original EP cover to its original corresponding release.

In addition to field recordings, basic PureData synthesis using Automatonism (www.automatonism.com) and composition in mlrV (github.com/trentgill/mlrv2/releases/tag/2.6.1) all were integral to each song as a final product. All tracks were performed live using an older monome 64.

This portion of the release represents an early exploration into using the monome, exploration of European electronic dance music, minimal techno, improvisation, and integrating field recordings into composition.
