While originally intended to be a much longer release, this short EP represents the end of themes I wanted to explore in both field recording and extreme metal. The first track consists of a brief field recording of the inside rumble of a train in Peru played through a reverse reverb to form the foundation of the song. From there, a single bass note is repeated on a mono softsynth, along with additional sine wave layers that create more drone, harmonic interest. For the next two tracks, the titles correspond to the field recording used. Feel free to explore the volume on both of these tracks, as different layers of field recording details and music are present at extremely low volumes.
